With a background of over 20 years in financial services, Nick left the sector determined to create a business that could have a meaningful impact on the lives of the UK population. He kept on coming back to the stressful and inefficient processes around bereavement and together with Aleks Tomczyk, and with backing from FNZ, he founded Exizent, the industry platform for people involved with managing the bereavement process.
Martin Holdsworth, Founder & Owner, IDR Law
Martin started his career at a law firm aged just 19 and has specialised purely in contentious probate for almost 20 years. He founded IDR Law in 2017 – the first and still only law firm in the country that specialises purely in inheritance disputes and nothing else. The firm has grown since 2017 to extend to offices in Harrogate, Manchester and Bristol and to a team of specialist lawyers and support that numbers over 20, making it one of the biggest teams in the UK. Martin sits on the national committee of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS), is listed as a Band 1 specialist lawyer by Chambers & Partners and has been inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for his work.
